Etymologie
Benannt nach der Typuslokalität Shirin, bezogen auf das Khosroshirin-Quellflusssystem, Dorf Khosroshirin, Kor-Becken, Iran, wo sich die Typuslokalität (Paselari-Quelle) befindet. (Übersetzt aus: The ETYFish Project)
