Typusfundort: Feng-chui-sha, Hengchun Township (Karte), Pingtung County, Taiwan, 3-12 m Tiefe.
Etymologie
Benannt nach Prof. Kwang-Tsao Shao in Anerkennung seiner exzellenten Beiträge zur Systematik und Ökologie der Fische Taiwans.
Verbreitung
Westlicher Nordpazifik: südlich von Taiwan.
