Typusfundort: Etwa 500 Meter südöstlich von Ilheu Santana, São-Tomé-Inselgruppe, São Tomé und Principe, östlicher Atlantik, ca. 0°14.23'N, 6°45.84'E (Karte), Tiefe 40 Meter.
Etymologie
Roseus (= Rose), oculus (= Auge), bezieht sich auf die rosafarbenen Augen der Art.
Verbreitung
Östlicher Atlantik: São Tomé und Principe.
