Etymologie
Dichotomos (= in zwei gleiche Teile geschnitten); mycterus (= Nasenloch), Anspielung nicht erklärt, bezieht sich vermutlich auf den gegliederten Tentakel auf jeder Seite des Nasenlochs von Dichotomyctere fluviatilis. (Übersetzt aus: The ETYFish Project)
