Etymologie
Benannt zu Ehren von Royal D. Suttkus (1929-2009), für seine zahlreichen Beiträge zur Ichthyologie, insbesondere die umfangreiche Fischsammlung, die er während seiner Karriere an der Tulane University (New Orleans, Louisiana, USA) aufgebaut hat. (Übersetzt aus: The ETYFish Project)
Verbreitung
Ostatlantik: Azoren bis Angola. Westlicher Atlantik: South Carolina bis zum Rio Grande Plateau.
