Etymologie
Nigrescens (= schwärzlich), bezieht sich vermutlich auf 6-7 unregelmäßig geformte, schwarze oder braune Flecken auf dem Rücken hinter dem Rückenflossenansatz. (Übersetzt aus: The ETYFish Project)
Verbreitung
Einzugsgebiet des Hari (Afghanistan, Iran und Turkmenistan) und Einzugsgebiet des Amu Darya (Usbekistan).
