Etymologie
Bostrychus (= Locke oder Haarlocke), in Anlehnung an die langen, röhrenförmigen vorderen Nasenlöcher von Bostrychus sinensis, die Lacepède offenbar für Barteln hielt. (Übersetzt aus: The ETYFish Project)
