Typusfundort: Río Colorado, unterer Bopi, Bolivien.
Etymologie
Von multi-(= viele); dens (= Zähne), vermutlich bezogen auf 11 Zähne im Oberkiefer im Vergleich zu keinen bei Astyanacinus mooorii. (Übersetzt aus: The ETYFish Project)
