Etymologie
Benannt zu Ehren von Evgeniy Alekseevich Koryakov, einem Ichthyologen an der Limnologischen Station des Baikalsees in den 1940er Jahren (diese Groppe ist im Baikalsee endemisch). (Übersetzt aus: The ETYFish Project)

Gefahren für diese Art: Diese Art könnte indirekt durch Verschmutzung, Wasserverbrauch und den Bau von Kläranlagen bedroht sein. Eine seltene, wenig bekannte Art, die nicht genutzt wird.
