Neotypus: ZMUC P35 4023.
Typusfundort: bei Nziou, in der Nähe von Longji, Kamerun (benannt von Huber, 1998).
Etymologie
Der Artnahme wurde zu Ehren von Ernst Ahl vergeben. Aphyosemion calliurum ahli ist ein neuer Name, der Panchax calliurus var. caeruleus Meinken, 1932 ersetzt, belegt von A. caeruleum (Boulenger, 1915).
Verbreitung
Küstenfließgewässer von Kamerun und Äquatorialguinea.
