Etymologie
Normalis (= normal oder der Regel entsprechend), Anspielung weder erklärt noch ersichtlich; da die vollständige Seitenlinie von der unvollständigen Seitenlinie abweicht, die Günther in seiner Beschreibung der Gattung hervorhebt, scheint die Art anormal oder "regelwidrig" zu sein.
