Etymologie
Von aëtos (= Adler), bezieht sich auf die adlerartige Flügelspannweite, die durch verschmolzene Brustflossen gebildet wird; batis (= altgriechisch für einen Plattfisch, wird normalerweise auf einen Rochen angewendet). (Übersetzt aus: The ETYFish Project)
