Holotypus: CAS 29594.
Paratypen: (5) ANSP 53179; USNM 427770 (4).
Typusfundort: 18°59.10'N, 72°48.70'E (Karte), Maharashtra, Arabisches Meer, Indien.
Etymologie
Der Artname leitet sich vom lateinischen lacrima (= Träne) ab und bezieht sich auf das Vorhandensein einer senkrechten Linie auf der Wange.
Verbreitung
Der Holotypus und die Paratypen wurden im Arabischen Meer im nordwestlichen Indischen Ozean gesammelt. Diese Art wurde auch in der Bucht von Bengalen, Westküste von Indien (Yennawar et al., 2012), Golf von Oman (Norman, 1939), Golf von Aden, Cochin und dem Persischen Golf (Kotthaus, 1974) gesammelt.
