Typusfundort und -schicht: Aranguthy-Teil des Steinbruchs von Tlayúa; Tlayúa-Formation, mittleres und späteres Albium.
Etymologie
Benannt nach der Familie Aranguthy, die den Steinbruch betreiben, das sind Don Miguel Aranguthy und seine Kinder.
Verbreitung
Albium: Mexiko.
