Typusfundort und -schicht: Luoping und Luxi, Yunnan, China; Zweites (oberes) Mitglied der Guanling-Formation, Pelsonium (ca. 244 Millione Jahre), Anisium, Mitteltrias.
Etymologie
Vom lateinischen Wort pusillus (= sehr klein oder geringfügig), bezieht sich auf die geringe Größe des Fischkörpers.
Verbreitung
China, Yunnan: Mitteltrias (Anisium), marin.
