Typusfundort: Republic of Palau, SE of Koror, Uchelbeluu Reef, 7°16.680’ N, 134°33.272’ E (Karte).
Etymologie
Die Art wurde albiaxillaris genannt (lateinisch: weiße Achselhöhle oder Achsel) mit Bezug auf die diagnostische Farbe am Brustflossenansatz.
Verbreitung
Die Art ist bisher nur von den Inseln des Palau-Archipels bekannt, wo sie gewöhnlich in Tiefen von etwa 4-15 m angetroffen wird.
