Etymologie
Uro (= von (gr.) oura = Schwanz), Anspielung nicht erklärt, bezieht sich möglicherweise auf den stumpfen Schwanz, "etwa so lang wie der Körper"; batis (= griechisch für einen flachen Fisch, gewöhnlich auf einen Rochen angewendet). (Übersetzt aus: The ETYFish Project)
