Südostatlantik bis Indopazifik: Südafrika, Myanmar, Sumatra, Bali, Philippinen bis Ryukyu Inseln und Mikronesien.

Status: Stand 20.12.2019:LC Least Concern (nicht gefährdet)
Gefahren für diese Art: Es sind keine größeren Bedrohungen bekannt. Jegliche anthropogenen Aktivitäten, die sich auf Mangroven- und Küstenwattgebiete auswirken, können eine Bedrohung für diese Art darstellen, indem ihr Lebensraum entfernt wird. Das Ausmaß solcher Bedrohungen ist derzeit jedoch nicht bekannt.
