Typusfundort: Rotes Meer, Saudi-Arabien, Al Lith, Insel Malathu, 19°45.108'N, 39°54.552'E (Karte), Riffwand mit kleinen Höhlen, 22-23 m Tiefe.
Etymologie
Der Name nubarum setzt sich aus den ersten drei Buchstaben der nubischen und den ersten beiden Buchstaben der arabischen Kontinentalplatte (= "nubar") zusammen, deren Auseinanderdriften den großen Graben bildet, von dem das Rote Meer ein Teil ist.
Verbreitung
Rotes Meer, vom Golf von Aqaba bei Dahab (SVB) südlich bis Zentral-Saudi-Arabien und zum Saunders-Riff vor Eritrea in 16-29 m.
