Etymologie
Fasciata (= gebändert), bezogen auf 14 oder mehr orangefarbene Streifen auf dem Körper. (Übersetzt aus: The ETYFish Project)
Verbreitung
Südliches Asien: Pakistan, Indien, Nepal, Bangladesch und Myanmar.
IUCN Status
Status: Stand 31.7.2022:LC Least Concern (nicht gefährdet)
Gefahren für diese Art: Die Art könnte unter einer übermäßigen Nutzung leiden, da sie sowohl einen Zier- als auch einen Nahrungswert hat, aber derzeit ist sie sehr weit verbreitet.
