Etymologie
Abbreviata (= verkürzt), bezieht sich auf eine kürzere Bauchregion im Vergleich zu Gattungsgenossen.
Verbreitung
China: Einzugsgebiete des Lancangjiang [Mekong] und des Lixianjiang [Roter Fluss], Provinz Yunnan.
