Grund für die Gefährdungseinstufung: L. longirostris (= Tachysurus dumerili) kann lokal bedroht sein - Chen et al. (ohne Datum): vor dem Aufstauen des Jangtse in Gezhouba machte L. longirostris etwa 10% der Fangzusammensetzung aus, aber jetzt sei er nicht mehr auf dem Markt zu finden und der Fang von Erwachsenen sei nicht üppig.
