Etymologie
Der Artname bezieht sich auf die Typuslokalität, Neu Irland, (Lat. neu = nova; Irland = Hibernia).
Verbreitung und Lebensraum
Papua New Guinea, über Sandböden in 74-92 m Tiefe.
