Etymologie
Diabolus (= lat. Dämon), in Anlehnung an den harten Stachel auf dem Rücken der Art.
Verbreitung
Pazifik: derzeit nur von der Westküste der Halbinsel Malaysia (Merbok River Estuary und Penang) und von Singapur bekannt.
