Etymologie
Von stole (= ein weißes Band, das von Priestern getragen wird); phoreus (= Träger), bezogen auf silbriges Seitenband von Stolephorus commersonnii (und den meisten anderen Gattungsmitgliedern). (Übersetzt aus: The ETYFish Project)
