Etymologie

Benannt zu Ehren des Ichthyologen Katsuzô Kuronuma (1908-1992), damals Masterstudent an der University of Michigan, der Kamohara auf "verschiedene Weise" half. (Übersetzt aus: The ETYFish Project)

Verbreitung

Japan und Taiwan: Bekannt von den Pazifikküsten Südjapans nach Norden bis zur Izu-Halbinsel (138.96°E), dem nördlichen Okinawa-Trog und Nordtaiwan in Tiefen von 205 bis 680 m.
