Etymologie
Der Name für die Spezies ist abgeleitet aus dem Namen Tuimanu'a, dem König aller Könige im samoanischen Mythos der Schöpfung, um die Menschen auf Samoa zu ehren.
Verbreitung
Schismatogobius tuimanua ist endemisch auf Samoa und West-Samoa.
