Etymologie
Kombiniert aus chrysos (= Gold); phekadion (= linsenförmige Flecken), bezieht sich auf den goldenen Fleck auf jeder Schuppe bei Erwachsenen. (Übersetzt aus: The ETYFish Project)
Verbreitung
Mekong- und Chao Phraya-Becken, malaiische Halbinsel, Sumatra, Java und Borneo.
IUCN Status
LC Least Concern (nicht gefährdet) Mögliche Gefahren für diese Art: Die Art ist möglicherweise lokal von Überfischung betroffen. Die Auswirkungen von Dämmen auf die Artwanderungen müssen erforscht werden. Diese Art unternimmt jedoch lokale Kurzstreckenwanderungen, und die Auswirkungen werden als nicht groß angesehen. |
