Holotypus: HUJ 2418.
Paratypus: HUJ 20671.
Typusfundort: Eilat, Israel, Golf von Aqaba, Rotes Meer.
Etymologie
Vom Lateinischen decem (= zehn); radiata (= strahlig). Der Name bezieht sich auf die zehn weichen Strahlen in der Rückenflosse der Art, die sie deutlich von der nah verwandten Art Scorpaena porcus, unterscheiden.
Verbreitung
Bisher nur aus dem Golf von Aqaba bekannt.
