Typusfundort: Costa Rica, Jacó Scar, 9°7.041′N, 84°50.375′W (Karte), 1795 m Tiefe.
Etymologie
Benannt nach der Typuslokalität und dem bisher einzigen bekannten Lebensraum, dem Standort Jacó Scar im Pazifik Costa Ricas, der seinerseits zu Ehren des nahe gelegenen Küstenbezirks Jacó, Puntarenas, Costa Rica, benannt ist.
Verbreitung
Ostpazifik: bisher nur vom Standort Jacó Scar in Tiefen von 1604–1854 m bekannt.
