Etymologie
Aquilonius (= nördlich), in Bezug auf die Verbreitung dieser australischen Art an der Nordküste des Landes.
Verbreitung
Endemisch in Nordaustralien (von Dampier, Westaustralien bis Brisbane, Ostküste Queensland). Kann in angrenzenden Gebieten Süd-Neuguineas auftreten (bisher keine Exemplare gefunden).
