Etymologie
Benannt zu Ehren und in Erinnerung an den verstorbenen Dr. Jaime Powell, bekannter Paläontologe, guter Freund und Kollege der Autoren.
Verbreitung
Quellgebiet des Río Sucuma flussaufwärts des Dos Afluentes Staudamms, im Department El Alto, Provinz Catamarca.
