Etymologie
Benannt zu Ehren von Osvaldo Takeshi Oyakawa vom MZUSP, dem Sammler vieler Exemplare, die als Grundlage für die Beschreibung der Art dienten, in Anerkennung seiner wichtigen Beiträge zu unserem Wissen über die Fische des Rio Ribeira de Iguape Beckens.
