Typusfundort: 11 km östlich von Maumere vor São Wisata Resort, Flores, Indonesien, 15-17 m Tiefe.
Etymologie
Vom griechischen aithiops (= sonnenverbrannt), in Anlehnung an die schlichte dunkelbraune Färbung der Art.
Verbreitung
Um die Inseln Flores und Batanta, Indonesien.
