Etymologie
Punctatus (= getüpfelt), bezogen auf viele kleine schwarze Tupfen auf den Seiten und oben auf den Kopf. (Übersetzt aus: The ETYFish Project)
Verbreitung
Vorhanden in den Flüssen Tuyra und Charges in Panamá, und den Flüssen Atrato und Baudó in Kolumbien.
