Etymologie
Benannt zu Ehren von Henri Abel, Verwalter in Fort Sibut, Zentralafrikanische Republik, Typuslokalität, "der das Interesse der Einheimischen entwickelte und die Expedition wesentlich unterstützte", während der der Holotypus gesammelt wurde. (Übersetzt aus: The ETYFish Project)
