Typusfundort: Bucht von Bengalen, 6 Meilen östlich des Mahanaddi Delta, 20°18'N, 90°50'E (Karte), 120 m Tiefe.
Etymologie

Verbreitung
Parascombrops pellucidus ist weit verbreitet und häufig im tiefen Schelf von 179 bis 210 m des nördlichen Indischen Ozeans, von der Bucht von Bengalen bis zum Roten Meer und vor Ostafrika, nördlich des Äquators, im Westen.
