Typusfundort: Vor Reunion, 21°20’S, 55°26’E (Karte), 73–77 m Tiefe.
Etymologie
Der Name bezieht sich auf die Typuslokalität von Madagaskar.
Verbreitung
Parascombrops madagascariensis lebt im südwestlichen Indischen Ozean, dort anscheinend auf das Schelf und den oberen Hang um Madagaskar und die Insel Réunion, von 73 bis 350 m Wassertiefe, beschränkt..
