Typusfundort: Äußerer Riffabhang, südwestlich von Temomoa Point, Duff Island, Santa Cruz Islands, 9°47'57"S, 167°05'16"E (Karte), Tiefe 10-35 Meter.
Etymologie
Albo (= weiß); maculatus (= gefleckt) in Bezug auf die doppelte Reihe von Flecken an den Seiten.
Verbreitung
Westpazifik: Philippinen, Komodo-Insel (Indonesien), Salomonen und Santa-Cruz-Inseln.
