Etymologie
Benannt zu Ehren der Ichthyologin Ethelwynn Trewavas (1900-1993) für ihre Unterstützung (z. B. Leihgabe von Exemplaren) bei der Vorbereitung der Revision der Gattung Neolebias durch die Autoren. (Übersetzt aus: The ETYFish Project)
Verbreitung
Mittleres und oberes Einzugsgebiet des Kongo und im Einzugsgebiet des Nils; Kamerun, Gabun, Republik Kongo, Cabinda, Demokratischen Republik Kongo und Südsudan.
