Etymologie
Hetero- (= verschieden); Clinus, Typusgattung der Familie, bezieht sich jedoch möglicherweise darauf, wie sich diese Gattung (kürzerer, weniger länglicher Körper) von Ophiclinus unterscheidet, vorgeschlagen in derselben Veröffentlichung. (Übersetzt aus: The ETYFish Project)
