Etymologie

Verbreitung

Westlicher Atlantischer Ozean von New York südlich entlang der U.S. Küste und weit verbreitet in den Bahamas. Rings um den östlichen Golf von Mexiko von Louisiana zu den Florida Keys und zum nordwestlichen Kuba. Tritt in der Karibik auf, außer in zwei Sektoren: dem Nordwestquadrant in Yucatan und die Bucht von Honduras und die Kleinen Antillen. Verbreitet südlich nach Maceió, Bundesstaat Alagoas, Brasilien. Tiefenbereich 37-550 m.
