Etymologie
Zusammengesetzt aus micro- (= klein), wahrscheinlich bezogen auf die geringe Größe von Micronemacheilus cruciatus, 17,5-25,0 mm; Nemacheilus, eine nemacheiline Schmerle. (Übersetzt aus: The ETYFish Project)
