Etymologie
Pulchellus (= Diminutiv von pulcher (= schön)), vermutlich bezogen auf die Größe (bis zu 25 mm SL) und die gebänderte Farbzeichnung. (Übersetzt aus: The ETYFish Project)
Verbreitung
Östlicher Zentral Pazifik: Außenküste der Baja California, Mexiko und Golf von Kalifornien.
