Etymologie

Lusciosus (= schwachsichtig), bezieht sich auf seine rudimentären Augen. (Übersetzt aus: The ETYFish Project)

Verbreitung

Ostpazifik: bisher von drei Fundorten bekannt. Wurde in Grundschleppnetzen in 2710-4000 Metern Tiefe gefangen. Leucicorus lusciosus ist die einzige Art der Gattung, die in bathyaler Tiefe gefangen wurde.
