Typusfundort: Meer von Oman, Tiefe 180 Faden.
Etymologie
Benannt nach der Typuslokalität, dem Meer von Oman.
Verbreitung
Kommt in den Küstengewässern des nördlichen Indischen Ozeans vom Golf von Aden bis zur Andamanensee vor dem südöstlichen Myanmar in 41-335 m Tiefe vor; offenbar aber nicht im Persischen Golf.

Status: Stand 25.01.2018: LC Least Concern (nicht gefährdet)
