Benannt zu Ehren des Armeechirurgen Andrew Francis Dobson (1848-1921), Madras Medical Service, der Day mit ca. 170 Fischen aus Deccan, Indien, versorgte.
Verbreitung
Indien: Derzeit nur aus den Flüssen Thunga und Bhadra, Karnataka, bekannt.
