Etymologie
Benannt nach dem Bach Banana Creek, Demokratische Republik Kongo, der Paratypuslokalität.
Verbreitung
Östlicher Zentralatlantik: Moanda-Tonde und Crique de Banana, Kongo. Mittelmeer: Vor Neapel, Palermo, Alger und der Küste von Israel.

Status: Stand 7.10.2023:LC Least Concern (nicht gefährdet)
