Etymologie
Benannt zu Ehren von Herrn N. Krishna Pillay, der die Typusexemplare nach dem Ablassen eines Brunnens sammelte. (Übersetzt aus: The ETYFish Project)

Indien: Kerala, Kottayam, südliche Western Ghats.

Status: Stand 4.02.2023: DD Data Deficient (ungenügende Datengrundlage)
Gefahren für diese Art: Die Art könnte durch die Verschmutzung des Grundwassers durch die umliegende Stadt und die Verschmutzung durch die Landwirtschaft bedroht sein, was jedoch noch bestätigt werden muss.
