Typusfundort: China, Provinz Yunnan, Präfektur Dali, Yunlong Co., Jiancao Town, Shili-he, 26°3'13.58"N, 99°19'17.94"E (Karte).
Etymologie
Micro (= klein); cepahlus (= Kopf), weist daruaf hin, dass der Kopf dieser Art kleiner ist als bei den Verwandten in der Gattung Homatula.
Verbreitung
China: bisher nur vom oberer Bi-jiang bekannt, ein Nebenfluss ersten Ranges des Lancang-jiang, Yunnan.
